Wasson Peak Hiking Trip [postponed]

Saturday, September 30, 2017 - 8:00am

**This activity has been postponed due to weather. We'll offer this again when the temperatures cool down as this hike is very exposed. Thank you.**

The weather is cooling down in Tucson finally. Are you ready to get outside and do some hiking and experience beautiful nature and spectacular views? Then join the Activities Team this Sat. 9/30 as we hike the King Canyon trail loop up to Wasson Peak in the famous Saguaro National Park. The loop is a moderate 8-mile (13 Kilometers) hike with breathtaking views of the park from the peak--the highest point in the Tucson Mountains to the west of Tucson.

This is moderate difficulty hike, but fairly long. Expect to be hiking for about 4 hours. Since there is very little shade, you should wear sunscreen and a hat. You must bring sturdy hiking shoes, water, and your own snacks or lunch. Meet in front of CESL at 8am. We'll return around 2pm. Roundtrip transportation and park entrance fee for this activity is only $10. Register online.

Registration deadline:
