Announcing the Summer II 2016 IEP session: 1-month Intensive English Program from July 5 - August 5, 2016

Wednesday, May 4, 2016

Great news! This summer 2016, CESL will offer a 1-month Intensive English Program (IEP)

This is an excellent opportunity for many students who have different objectives. From new students to University of Arizona current or future students, CESL offers top preparation for university or professional success that can now be taken in 4 weeks only during the summer time. The curriculum of this special 1-month IEP is the same as the regular 8-week sessions as students are offered a chance to join the regular 8-week IEP session in the middle of the session. Even though joining in the middle represents a higher challenge, the level or preparation, quality, and benefits are the excellent.  Students joining the program will have a chance to benefit and learn the same way while preparing for academic or professional goals.

Curriculum and Placement

The classes in the Intensive English Program (IEP) are Oral Communication, Written Communication, Reading, and Grammar. Advanced students will be placed in advanced classes which focus on academic skills. New students will need to take an initial placement test to determine in which of the 7 IEP levels the student will be placed. It is important to note that new students participating in the summer 2 session will be joining in the middle of an existing summer session for the IEP, scheduled to run from June 6 - August 5, 2016.

So are you ready to take the 1-month IEP challenge?

If you have been admitted to a University of Arizona academic program for the Fall 2016, congratulations! We are excited to welcome you soon and be part of the University of Arizona Wildcat family. Considering taking this 1-month special IEP program would be really beneficial to you, and here's why:

  • Top preparation taught by English language professionals and from the only CEA-accredited institution in Arizona
  • Get settled in Tucson and brush up on your English skills before starting your tough UA academic experience!
  • Intense preparation to help you improve and develop academic skills you will need at the UA such as presentation, conversation, and written communication
