Concurrent Enrollment Immigration regulations state that F-1 students need the permission of the I-20 issuer to pursue concurrent enrollment in two institutions.  Therefore, we will require any student who is studying on a CESL I-20 to have written permission from CESL to study elsewhere.  Students who are studying outside of CESL without our written permission will be in violation of their status and terminated.   To be eligible for concurrent enrollment in another school the CESL student must

  • be currently enrolled in CESL level 60 or above
  • maintain a CESL GPA of 2.0 or better
  • maintain good attendance at CESL; no more than 10 % absence
  • The concurrent enrollment can not conflict with the regularly scheduled CESL classes.
  • A student may enroll in no more than 5 credit hours outside of CESL per semester or session

Request Concurrent Enrollment

Visit University Classes CESL students can visit regularly scheduled UA classes with the permission of CESL and the instructor of the UA class. See the Assistant Director for Student Services for more details.
