Fall in Tucson means great hiking weather. Join the hiking club this Sat. 11/19 as we go to Madera Canyon. Madera Canyon is located in the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson in the Coronado National Forest. The area is famous for its bird watching and there should be many opportunities to see a variety of birds and other wildlife--not to mention the gorgeous and peaceful nature all around. There are a variety of hiking trails to choose from--some easy, some challenging.
Please meet in front of CESL at 9am. Wear comfortable hiking shoes--no flip flops or open-toed shoes. Bring water and something to snack on (if you want), although we can stop for lunch on the way home. We should be back to CESL around 2pm.
Transportation is only $10. Sign up now as space is limited.
