CESL has five regularly scheduled eight-week sessions of intensive English each year which F-1 students on CESL I-20s are expected to attend. Sessions begin in August, October, January, March and June. Our vacations are in May and December when we run 3-week intersession programs. These may be traditional classes if there is enough enrollment or guided individualized study if there are fewer students. New students may enter at the beginning of any session and must study for at least one month. Short programs or early departure must be established at the time of application. |

Late Arrivals. Students are expected to report and register at CESL on the I-20 report date. If you cannot arrive on the arrival date, please contact CESL admissions office for advice. We may have to reissue your I-20. There are substantial fees for late arrival. See our cost page. |
CESL students may be admitted to the University upon completion of CESL, and with CESL's endorsement in place of the required TOEFL score. Students must apply directly to the University Undergraduate Admissions Office or the Graduate College for conditional admission.
