Teen English Program
Description
Intensive English language instruction for teens from ages 13-17. Students will improve their English, develop new friendships, and find joy in learning a second language! Students learn and use English in classes taught by experienced, enthusiastic ESL teachers.
Dates
July 15 - August 9, 2013
Age
We have set the age standard for the Teen English Program to better meet the needs and attention of our teen-aged students and the students in the intensive English Program. We encourage students ages 13-17 to enroll in the Teen Program. Students must be at least 13 by the time of application.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday
Students are divided by level and receive 4 hours of language instruction per day, M-Th, in University of Arizona classrooms where speaking and listening skills are emphasized. Lessons are designed specifically for teen learners.
Fridays
On Fridays, teachers accompany students on recreation/cultural excursions in and around Tucson. On these excursions, the teens have a chance to speak and listen to English in real world settings.
