Eligibility
All programs at the Center for English as a Second Language meet high standards of excellence, as CESL has been fully accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation. We invite you to learn more about our high-quality programs, which include:

Conditional Admission to The University of Arizona & CESL Endorsement

Please note: Admission to CESL's intensive English program does not guarantee admission to the University of Arizona.  Students who are conditionally admitted to the University of Arizona must meet the English language requirement for admission either with the required TOEFL score or by CESL endorsement.  http://www.cesl.arizona.edu/endorsement.htm

Admission requirements. All applicants for the CESL English program must

  1. Be at least 18 years old - except for the Teen English Program in July open to ages 13-17
  2. Be literate in their first language
  3. Have completed high school
  4. Be full-time students for F-1 visa holders; part-time students are limited to 11.5 hours per week.
  5. Provide proof of measles and rubella immunization or medical exception
  6. Demonstrate ability to meet financial obligations of their program

Seats may be unavailable in a particular course or program.
